About swelv
swelv is building fund lifecycle infrastructure for private capital. Capital calls, distributions, equalisations, recalls, subsequent closings, and LP reporting. One system from call to cash.
Why we built this
Old processes, ready for a new era.
Private capital has always run on trust, relationships, and rigour. The operations behind it — notices, payments, reconciliation — have largely stayed manual, built on email threads and spreadsheets that were never designed for the job.
We think that changes now. Not because the industry is broken, but because the tools to do this properly finally exist. Every fund event — a capital call, a distribution, a subsequent closing — should flow automatically, with legal-grade precision and zero coordination overhead. That is what swelv is for.

What we believe
How we think about the problem.
Notices and payments belong together.
Issuing a capital call and collecting the payment are the same operation. Separating them creates reconciliation work that should not exist.
Fund admins should configure, not coordinate.
The right system enforces waterfall rules, MFN terms, and equalization automatically. The human role is to set the parameters, not chase the exceptions.
LPs deserve better than a PDF.
A quarterly report buried in an email is not reporting. LPs should have a live view of their portfolio, always current, across every fund they are invested in.
